Comments: The holotype of E. ( E.) platynota has strongly narrowed elytral bases and the glabrous pronotum lacking median antebasal fovea and antebasal sulcus that are consistent with members of the genus Gastrobothrus . Here we formally transfer this species from Eupines to Gastrobothrus .
