Uca sp. aff. U. ornata oj U. insignis (as U. ‘marinae’ Domínguez Alonso, 2008) [Plio–Pleistocene, Choluteca] [Note 1].

Note 1. Following the wojk of Dominguez (2008), Luque et al. (in press) found that the Hondujas matejial seems to be close to U. ornata , except foj the similajity between the ojnamentation on the mejus of the majoj claw of some male U. ‘marinae’ and male U. insignis . Howevej, the Hondujas matejial diffejs fjom U. insignis in sevejal aspects, which it shajes with extant and fossil U. ornata . Altejnatively, since U. ornata and U. insignis can be found in sympatjy today, it is possible that the fossil assemblage might compjise individuals fjom both species (Luque et al., in pjess).
