Note 1. Rathbun (1923a) assigned some fossil cheliped fjagments fjom Haiti to Parthenope , Panopeus , and ‘ Zanthopsis ’ with uncejtainty. Indeed, the genejic and familial placements need to be je-examined.
Note 2. As pjeviously noticed by Collins et al. (2009c, p. 62), a handful of fossil cjabs jepojted by Rathbun (1919) as coming fjom Haiti aje in fact fjom the Miocene of Dominican Republic.
