Type material. Holotype male: [Western Australia]: WAM Goldfields Survey, W. F. Description. Body. Length 5.45-5.70 mm; body width 3.34-3.59 mm.
Head. Castaneous to dark castaneous with lateral parts more brownish in shade, lateral margins of paraclypei blackfah brown; dorsal surface of paraclypei striated and punctured with numerous tiny punctures, clypeus and vertex impunctate; paraclypei longer than clypeus and joined in a front of the former ( Fig. 6); gular plate aJmost impunctate; each paraclypeus with a subma rginal row of 6- 8 hair-like selae ( Fig. 6); eyes small, reddish brown or yellowish, ocular index 5.40-5.80; ocelli small, interocellar index 4.70-5.30, ocellar index 9.20- lJ.05; antennae brown or pale brown, length of antenna! segments (in mm): 0.25 -0.35: 0.21-0.26: 0.28-0.33: 0.29-0.31: 0.26-0.33; rostrum pale brown or yellowish brown, reaching anterior margin of middle coxae.
Prothorax. Pronotum dark castaneous, densely punctured with large punctures; calla! areas blackjgh brown, almost impunctate, slightly elevated; lateral margins of pronotum with 55-70 submarginal setigerous punctures bearing very long hair-like setae on either side. Propleuron impunctate or almost impunctate, more or less polished, bearing several wrink.les.
Mesothorax. Scutellum from blackish brown to black, apex more brown in shade than the disc; the latter evenly punctured with dark large punctures; basal fifth and apex impunctate or almost impunclate. Mesoplaural evaporatorium triangular, large ( Fig. 7); anterior area of mesopleuron impunctate.
Metathorax. Corium castaneous or dark castaneous, clavus more yellow than meso- and exocorium; membra11e milky white with irregular dark patches; clavus with two complete and one or two incomplete rows of punctures; mesocorium with two rows of punctures paralleling clavo-corial suture, its remaining surface densely evenly punctured; exocorium broad, basalJy strongly reflected downward, its surface with crowded punctures slightly larger than those on mesocorial disc; costal margin with 30-48 setigerous punctures bearing very long hair-like setae; membranal suture bisinuated, membrane broader than abdomen and surpassing its tip. Lateral area of metapleural evaporatorium impunctate, the posterior area punctured with clearly visible punctures.
Legs. From yellowish brown to brown, tibial spines reddish brown or castaneous.
Abdom e n. Sterna from brown to dark brown, alutaceous, more or less polished, segments with a row of long protruding brown bair-like setae on either submargin; all pregenital segments impunctate, except (or numerous setigerous punctures bearing long hair-like setae. Ventral surface o(male pygopho:re with a few punctures latcraUy; paramere as in Fig. 8, pygophore opening as in Fig. 9.
Etym o l ogy. The name indicates it is the second species of the genus.
