Comments.
Tegenaria is the most speciose genus of Tegenariini Lehtinen, 1967 spiders, currently encompassing 138 valid species, mostly diversified in the Mediterranean region ( WSC 2025). In its current composition, the genus is probably not monophyletic ( Bolzern et al. 2013). To date, 32 species have been recorded in the Caucasus, with two recently described from Armenia and Georgia ( Zamani et al. 2024).
