The Neotropical genus Neoregostoma Monné & Giesbert, 1992 contains seven species recorded for South America: French Guiana, eastern Brazil ( Goias, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay. The species described here from the Andean foothills of lowland Bolivia represents a significant range extension for this genus.
