Remarks. A widespread species known from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Maranh„o), and Bolivia ( Santa Cruz). It was originally described by Zajciw (1965) in the genus Mielkea Zajciw, 1965 .
Material examined. GUATEMALA ( new country record), Zacapa: San Lorenzo Road , NNE of Ojo de Agua, 737m, 1 male, 1 June 2022, light trap, R. Zack & J. Monzon leg. ( WSU) .
