Length: 12.1–14.6 µm; width: 2.9–3.2 µm (n = 2)

Taxonomical remarks: Humidophila arcuatoides (= Diadesmis arcuatoides ), described originally by Werum & Lange-Bertalot (2004), has 16–26 µm in length and 5–6 µm in width, however, the taxon has been already registered with 8–14 µm in length and 2.6–4 µm in width by Wetzel (2011). Humidophila arcuata Lange-Bertalot is easily differentiated by the less inflated central portion of the valve ( Werum & Lange-Bertalot 2004).

Teratological form: not observed.
