Sect. Brachytropis DC.
Subarbustos. Hojas alternas, subcoriáceas, caducas. Flores en racimo terminal o pseudolateral. Sépalos libres, persistentes, herbáceos; alas petaloides, persistentes. Pétalos superiores más largos que la quilla, soldados a la base del tubo estaminal; quilla sin cresta. Estambres fértiles 8. Cápsula membranácea, alada.
Semillas carunculadas, escasamente pelosas.
