General distribution. South USA to Argentina including the West Indies.
Distribution in the DR. Cordillera Central.
Habitat. The species occurs in wooded areas at medium to high elevations. It is never common, coming to light singly. This species is also distinctly crepuscular.
Host plants. Rubiaceae .
