General distribution. Endemic to Hispaniola.

Distribution in the DR. La Altagracia, Barahona, Cordillera Central, Pedernales ( Fig 1. C View FIGURE 1 ).

Habitat. Elevation: 0–1630 m asl. This beautiful species flies in heavily wooded and generally cool and humid biotopes in the Cordillera Central, at low and medium elevations ( Fig 9. B, E View FIGURE 9 ).

Host plants. Larval stages and host plants unknown.
