General distribution. South USA to Argentina including the West Indies.
Distribution in the DR. Widespread throughout the country.
Habitat. The insect seems to be generalist; it is common in all biotopes, from semi-desert areas to deep forests in the middle to high elevations.
Host plants. Apocynaceae .
