Remarks. Members of this genus have a cryptic morphology and patchy distribution across the Old World. Species within the genus exhibit a suite of diagnostic features including a distinctive antennal structure, reduced wing venation, and specialized metasomal modifications. Prior to this study, three species had been recognized based on morphological and geographical criteria, all from the Old World without any valid host associations.
