Dolicholepta Priesner View in CoL
This Old-world genus comprises 11 species, with nine described from Africa and two from India (ThripsWiki 2023). Two species of the genus are known from Arabian Peninsula ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ). The genus can be distinguished from other genera of Haplothripini by this combination of characters: head elongate; mouth cone extended to posterior margin of pronotum; antennal segment III with two sense cones, V–VI with apex strongly asymmetric; basantra present; metanotum with closely spaced longitudinal striae; fore wings without duplicated cilia; abdominal tergites with more than two pairs of sigmoid setae; tube short ( Minaei & Mound 2008).
