Distribution

C. gracilirostris is widely distributed in the tropical and subtropical Indo-Pacific region:

Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Australia, the Solomon Islands, and Palau [43].

Habitat

In the lower course of streams under marine influence, very often in brackish water.
