Adult habitus. General body color brown to dark brown. Head brown or dark brown; antennae light brown to dark brown; palpi light brown or brown; mouthparts light brown or brown; thorax yellowish-brown to brown; compound eyes black. Pronotum rectangular with rounded corners, narrower than the head. Legs brown to yellowish-brown. Wings light brown, membranous, and subhyaline; veins brown.

Female. Adult length 4.3–5.0 mm, forewing length 6.0– 6.3 mm, hind wing length 5.0– 5.2 mm (n = 6). Sternum 7 produced into a semicircular pregenital plate, covering anterior area of sternum 8, the plate is dark brown ( Fig. 6a View FIGURE 6 ). Sternum 8 ( Fig. 6a–b View FIGURE 6 ) forms a pair of strongly sclerotized subgenital plates with a distinct posterior notch, anterior apex blunt; left and right parts brownish and faintly sclerotized, in contrast to the median and posterior parts that is dark brown. Sternum 9 trapezoidal and well sclerotized. There is a membranous tunnel between the sclerites, with a triangular sclerite medially connected to the spermathecal duct ( Fig. 6b–f View FIGURE 6 ). The genital opening is wide ( Fig. 6b View FIGURE 6 ). Paraprocts and cerci dark brown.

Distribution. China (Ningxia, Qinghai). Remarks. This species was originally described based on male specimens from Longtan, Jingyuan County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. In our study, we recorded this species from Qinghai Province based on male and female specimens, which represent the first record of this species in this province.
