Local distribution. Gebel Elba.
Geographical distribution. Egypt, Israel, UAE.
Specimens examined. Gebel Elba 15.III.1928 ( 1 female, holotype) (CUC); Israel, Arava Valley Qeture Kibbutz, Malaise 15.VI.1994, M. Irwin ( 1 female); UAE, Near Mahafiz, light traps 25.09N. 55.48E. A. van Harten, 21–28.VIII.2006, det. M. Hauser 2009 ( 2 males & 2 females), Wadi Bih dam, water traps, 22–26.III.2009, 25.48N. 56.04E. A. van Harten legit, det. M. Hauser 2009 ( 1 female) (MHC).
Remarks. The material from Israel and the UAE agree very well with the type specimen of Acathrito robusta .
