Distribution: India ( Tamil Nadu), Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, China, Taiwan.
Remarks. Lygephila cucullata ( Moore, 1882) (TL: Nainital) was suggested as a separate species which was usually treated as synonym of L. dorsigera . The distribution of L. dorsigera was not mentioned from India by Pekarsky (2016). But, Riyaz et al. (2023) mentioned it again from Western Ghats of India ( Tamil Nadu). The identity from Indian region needs further investigation.
