Description of Fontibacillus aquaticus View in CoL J2W1
Cells are Gram-staining positive and rod-shaped with flagella. Colonies are white, circle, entire convex, and smooth after 3 days of incubation on R2 A at 28℃. Positive for esculin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease and gelatinase activities. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain J 2W1 (NIBRBAC000510848) was isolated from soil of Yeong- wol, Gangwon-do Korea ( 37°19 ʹ 08.0 ʺ N 128°11 ʹ 01.7 ʺ E) GoogleMaps .
