Description of Cytobacillus horneckiae AN 479
Cells are Gram-staining positive and rods without flagella. Colonies are cream, Round, entire, and raised after 2 days of incubation on R2 A at 28℃. Positive for nitrate reduction and gelatinase activity. Negative indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease activities, esculin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase activity. Utilizes D-maltose, potassium gluconate, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium, and citrate acid. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, capric acid, and phenylacetic acid. Strain AN 479 (NIBRBAC000510607) was isolated from wetland of Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, Korea ( 37°01 ʹ 02.6 ʺ N 127°15 ʹ 48.9 ʺ E) GoogleMaps .
