Description of Sutcliffiella rhizosphaerae CAU 1748
Cells are Gram-staining positive and rod-shaped with flagella. Colonies are cream, circle, smooth, entire, convex, and translucent after 3 days of incubation on MA at 30℃. Positive for esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease activity. Utilizes D-glucose, D-mannitol, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, and trisodium citrate. Does not utilize L-arabinose, D-mannose, N- acetyl-glucosamine, capric acid, adipic acid, and phenylacetic acid.
