Chaetopleurophora does not have any notable sexually dimorphic characteristics except the male genitalia. The male hypopygium has developed surstyli and an elongated median process under the cerci (figs 7–9 in Nakayama 2007). The photos show Chaetopleurophora in the general mating position but do not allow the observation of the hypopygium.
