Description. Male. Body length 1.5–1.6 mm, wing length 1.1–1.2 mm. Female. Body length 1.6–1.7 mm, wing length 1.3 mm. Morphological characters as in Cook 1956.
Material Examined. 2♂ 1♀, China, Heilongjiang Province, Heihe [ Dzñ], Pingshan Tree Farm [ ṮƜū场] [ 49°34’ N, 126°56’ E, 302m], collected by sweep net, 2024. VII. 5, Yuetian Gao ( CAU) GoogleMaps ; 15♂ 10♀, China, Liaoning Province, Fushun [ Kũ], Lijiacun [ ṃṽť] [ 41°60’ N, 124°22’ E, 540m], collected by Malaise trap, 2020. VI GoogleMaps . 20, Tao Li ( CAU).
Distribution. China ( Heilongjiang Province, Liaoning Province); Germany, Hungary, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland.
Remarks. The cup-shaped process on male tergite 7 and a highly sclerotized aedeagus can easily distinguish this species. S. pediculata has been recorded in several European countries ( Haenni 2013) since the original description and the specimens examined in this paper were collected from Northeast China.
