The description of the male type from Fort Crampel, Congo Français, does not distinguish between T8 and T9 and presents nothing to identify the species. The specimen was in Lestage's personal collection which was "restricted and not always maintained with the desirable care" ( Carpentier 1947). The type is almost certainly lost, a doubtful taxon, a nomen dubium.
