Remarks.

The specimens from southwestern Türkiye morphologically match the description of Hygrobates persicus . This species is widely distributed in Iran, while in Türkiye it is known only from the Çoruh River in northeast Anatolia ( Bayburt province, Pešić et al. 2017). The sequenced specimens from Antalya and Isparta provinces cluster within BOLD: ACB 5533, which, in addition to the specimens used in this study, includes specimens morphologically assigned to H. persicus .
