Remarks.

The specimens from southwestern Türkiye morphologically match the description of Hygrobates persicus . This species is widely distributed in Iran, while in Türkiye it is known only from the Çoruh River in northeast Anatolia (Bayburt province, Pešić et al. 2017). The sequenced specimens from Antalya and Isparta provinces cluster within BOLD: ACB 5533, which, in addition to the specimens used in this study, includes specimens morphologically assigned to H. persicus .
