D i a g n o s i s: For recognition of male see key. The female is unique within the species lineage by a large red zone on T 1, in combination with yellow spots on propodeum laterally (figs 8, 9).

D e s c r i p t i o n m a l e: Body length 9.5 mm. Color: Black, with the following parts pale yellow: labrum, clypeus, space above clypeus, inner eye margin, scape and flagellomeres ventrally, narrow band on pronotum, pronotal lobe, band on mesoscutum laterally, large triangular spots on scutellum laterally, which are connected in the middle, band on metanotum, small spot on propodeum laterally, narrow and double indented bands on T 1- 6, narrow bands on S2-5, lateral spots on T 6, ventral bands on femora, tibiae, tarsi. Morphology: Spine of inner hindfemur 0,8x-1x as long as hindocellar diameter. S7 see fig. 7.

D e s c r i p t i o n f e m a l e: Body length 8.5-9.0 mm. Color: Black, with the following parts pale yellow: labrum, clypeus, space above clypeus, inner eye margin, scape and flagellomeres ventrally, narrow band on pronotum, pronotal lobe, band on mesoscutum laterally, large triangular spots on scutellum laterally, touch in the middle, band on metanotum, large spot on propodeum laterally (reddish-yellow), narrow and double indented bands on T 1-5, narrow lateral spots on S2-5, in first tergites medially connected with a thin band. Medial part of of T 1 with large reddish zone of varying extend, apex black, parts of coxa. Trochanter and femora reddish, tibiae and tarsi dark yellow. Face see fig 10.

E t y m o l o g y: The species is named after the type area, the Arava valley in southern Israel.
