Current status: Amegilla (Micramegilla) mongolica Wu, 1990 View in CoL .
Remark: The subgeneric status of this taxon was not designated by Wu (1990: 248). The holotype identification label with the subgeneric status was added by Wu in 2000. Despite this classification in Amegilla s.s., several features are more relevant to Micramegilla, especially in the shape of male gonocoxae, as the external brush at top of gonocoxae and the small patch of strong setae at the middle of external side of gonocoxae. The pale facial marking is also more in accordance to Micramegilla. Amegilla mongolica Wu appears quite similar to the Mediterranean species Amegilla (Micramegilla) andresi (Friese, 1914) (type serie NHMB examined by PR) but it is difficult to go further in assessing synonymy beyond this superficial ressemblance.
Distribution: China (Inner Mongolia).
