Current status: Anthophora (Anthomegilla) xizangensis (Wu, 1988) View in CoL .

Remark: The subgenus of this taxon was not designated by Wu (1988: 69), and the original identification label was lost. Wu (2000) added the holotype identification label with the subgeneric status proposed by Brooks (1988). Rasmont (2019) also designated 1♀ (IOZ(E)205485, Xiang, Pulan County, Baga, 4700 m, 18.VII.1976, leg. Fu-Sheng Huang (holds the identification label Anthophora xizangensis , det. by P. Rasmont)) and 1♀ (IOZ(E)205486, Xizang, Rutog County, Rebangzhabu, 4700 m, 18.VII.1976, leg. Fu-Sheng Huang (holds the identification label Anthophora xizangensis , det. by P. Rasmont)) as paratype of Anthophora xizangensis , but these specimens were actually unlabelled Anthomegilla sinensis Wu (= Anthophora wuae Brooks ) paratypes misplaced in the collection in the A. xizangensis row.
