Current status: Anthophora (Petalosternon) clavitarsis Wu, 1990 .

Remark: The subgenus of this taxon was not designated by Wu (1990: 247), and the holotype identification label with a subgeneric assignment was added by Wu in 2000. The shape of genitalia and internal sternites are consistent with this assignment, although Ascher & Pickering (2024) list that the subgeneric status of the taxon remains uncertain.

Distribution: China (Inner Mongolia).
