Current status: Anthophora (Melea) obtusispina Wu, 1982 View in CoL .

Remark: The subgenus of this taxon was not designated by Wu (1982: 478). Wu (2000) added the holotype identification label with the subgeneric status. Brooks (1988: 478) firstly put the taxon into subgenus Melea . There are numerous taxa described from this subgenus in Asia and it is quite evident that most of them would be synonyms. However, we have presently no evidence to synonymize A. obtusispina with any of other consubgeneric taxa. This subgenus obviously need a comprehensive revision.

Distribution: (Xizang, Yunnan, Sichuan).
