Lectotype ( Müller-Doblies in Feddes Repert. 105: 368. 1994): [icon] " Ornithogalum Africanum " in Hermann, Parad. Bat.: 209. 1698.

Current name: Albuca View in CoL View at ENA sp. ( Liliaceae / Hyacinthaceae ).

Note: Müller-Doblies (in Feddes Repert. 105: 368. 1994) regards Hermann’s plate as the type, and the name as a nomen dubium, as the type is "not sufficiently characteristic for a satisfactory identification, possibly = A. flaccida [Jacq.] or A. paradoxa [Dinter]".
