Material: Western Australia: holotype ♂, Zuytdorp ( ZU5 ) , 27°14'42.9"S, 114°11'36.1"E, 16–21 May 1995, dry pits, M.S. Harvey et al., WAM 98 About WAM /1654. Diagnosis. Males differ from those of B. bidgemia sp. nov. in the sinuous form of the paracymbial spine ( Fig. 33a View FIGURE 33 ) and from all other species in having a very broad predistal keel on the embolus ( Fig. 33d View FIGURE 33 ). Female unknown.

Etymology. A noun in apposition from the type locality.

Description holotype male WAM 98/1654

Carapace 3.20 long, 2.32 wide. Abdomen 3.60 long, 1.76 wide. Total 7.0.

Colour: carapace and chelicerae dark red brown; abdomen blue black with pair of small round tufts of white hair just behind scute. Femora: I without bands, red brown with pallid oval areas laterally; II–IV fawn with dark band for distal quarter; legs otherwise orange brown; sternum, maxillae, labium and coxae I red brown, other leg coxae fawn; abdomen ventrally blue black. Maxillae with sharp, deep, recurved diagonal trough basally. Sternum with distinct ridge around margin. Chelicerae: robust without anterior flange but low domed glabrous area; fangs long, dentition 2R, 2P, teeth on squared, raised process with steep dorsal face. Legs: RCH not evident. Spines: ventrally on tibiae I and II, three pairs of long, strong, attenuate spines on raised bases, plus shorter distal pair. I: fe pv1 long strong p1d3; ti p2–4v2.2.2.2; me p2v2.2. II: fe p1d3; ti p2v2.2.2.2; me p2v2.2. III: fe p2d3r2; ti p2r2v2.2.1; me p3r3v2.2.3. IV: fe p3d3r2; pa0; ti p2d2r2v2.2.2; me p3r3v2.2.3. Palp: fe p1d2; pa p1; ti p2d1. Palp: tibia prolaterally excavate; cymbium, viewed dorsally, asymmetrical and retrobasally with flat sinuous paracymbial spine in broad excavation; weak scopula dorsally in distal fifth; b; bulb large, pyriform, with double pre-embolic keel with wide flat distal face sweeping behind short blunt embolic spike.

Distribution. Known only from Zuytdorp and Bush Bay, north-west Western Australia.
