Diagnosis. Differs from D. judidenchae sp. nov. in having finely pustulose cuticle on the carapace, the longer, more slender serrate setae on the fang shield of females, and in having two pairs of spines ventrally on tibiae III; females also have shorter spermathecae and stronger spination on tibiae and metatarsi.
Etymology. The species is named after actress, Dame Helen Mirren.

Carapace 2.52 long, 1.96 wide. Abdomen 2.52 long, 1.76 wide. Total length 5.0.
Colour: carapace and abdomen dark brown; femur dark reddish brown with narrow brown basal band and wide subapical brown band, patellae red brown with dark brown distal lateral faces, tibiae–tarsi I and II, metatarsi III and tarsi III and IV orange brown, metatarsi IV red brown; abdomen dark brown with white feathery hairs in anterior band and pair of narrow medial bands, two pallid spots subdistally on abdomen; carapace dark brown with sparse wide band of white feathery hairs marginally.Carapace pear-shaped, steep-sided laterally and posteriorly, wide tear-shaped flat plateau around fovea; white feathery hairs sparse in wide marginal band and onto dorsal abdomen; fovea short, deep; caput low, indistinct striae; cuticle finely pustulose. Legs: IV much thicker and longer than I; all femora with strong postbasal dorsal thickening depth; cluster of thick hairs ventrally on distal metatarsi and tarsi III and IV. Spines: weak on I and II, strong on III and IV. I: fe p1d2 all weak; pa 0; ti 0; me v2.2. II: fe p1d2w; pa 0; ti v1w; me v 2.2w. III: fe p2d3r1; pa 0; ti p2r2v0.2.2; me p2r2v2.2.1. Carapace 2.28 long, 1.72 wide. Abdomen 2.72 long, 2.20 wide. Total length 5.0.
Colour: carapace and chelicerae dark brown; legs, all femora brown, patellae–tarsi I and II brown orange, III and IV red brown; abdomen dorsally brown with small equilateral triangular dorsal scute, shiny brown; ventrally dark brown. Carapace: glabrous save for erect bristles; one on each strial ridge and pair beside anterior lateral fovea; two anteromedially, 6–8 on clypeus; cuticle finely coriaceous; striae shallow grooves. Eyes: lateral eyes clearly larger; both rows recurved. Chelicerae: slightly porrect, with face recurved back to fangs; fang and furrow short, with long slender fang setae; dentition 2 + 2. Sternum without strong intercoxal projection, margins with long curved setae, centrally glabrous, labium subquadrate. Legs: RCH small; trochanters very shallowly notched; feathery hairs on femora and tibiae III, IV, not evident elsewhere. Scopula sparse on tarsi I, II. Cluster of thick black hairs ventrally on metatarsi III, IV. Spines: weak on I, II. I: fe p1d2; pa 0; ti v1.0; me v2.2.0. II: fe d1; pa 0; ti v1.0; me v2.2. III: fe p2d3r1; pa 0; ti p2r2v1.2.2; me p2r2v2.1.3. IV: fe d3r1; pa 0; ti p2r2v1.2.2; me p3r3v2.1.3. Palp: fe d2; pa p1; ti p2 ta p2v1. Palp: claw slender, apically curved, dentate, not obscured; palpal tarsus without dense hair clusters. Spinnerets: 3 large cylindrical gland spigots on PMS and 2 large CGS on PLS. Epigyne: paired procurved crescents, narrow CD across to ental edge of long domed head of spermathecae, ducts distally not extending wider past base of spermathecae.
Distribution and Habitat. Known only from open forests in the Taroom district and xeric areas to the west of the Great Dividing Range as well as Buhot Reserve and Fraser Island east of the Range, south-eastern Queensland.
