Diagnosis. Differs from all other species in the reduced or absent pattern on carapace, narrow white band and wide mustard brown points on distal femora and tibiae IV.

Etymology. The species epithet is in honour of Dr Paula Cushing, for her work on ant mimicry in spiders.

Colour: carapace orange brown with two darker triangles on posterior lateral caput; dark around fovea from pile of dark large feathery hairs and medial band of white hairs through fovea longitudinally; abdomen dark brown for 9/10th with pile of black feathery hairs; posteriorly over pallid article narrow band of white hairs, then broad terminal cape of mustard coloured hairs; from side mustard cape undercuts abdomen; chelicerae dark orange brown; all legs, coxae, sternum orange brown except for distal length of femur IV dark brown and brown smudge subdistally on tibia IV; labium and maxillae red brown. Carapace: band of white hairs from PME to posterior margin; fovea small, pit like, surrounded by wide area of dark feathery hairs. Chelicerae: hirsute; fang shield small; fang groove steep-sided near fang base; three teeth on retromargin, distal smallest; two on promargin and four fine teeth spaced between them. Sternum: lightly hirsute with long erect bristle submarginally opposite each coxae; two close opposite IV. Maxillae with slightly concave margins. Pedicel not continuous with sternum, collariform with anterior triangle. Legs: trochanters not notched; pallid feathery hairs on femora to tibia. Spines: I: fe p3d4r1 basal pa 0; ti v2.2; me v2.2. Abdomen: weak oval scute on anterior quarter dorsally; genital scute with indented but not thickened anterior ventral margin; colulus distinct; tracheal spiracle not accentuated; central zone set off by series of depressions and change of hairs from feathery on lateral to simple on central zone. Palp: tibia with raised distal edge ventrally; cymbium distally with lines of 6–10 short thick bristles on each edge; bulb as for K. cooloola sp. nov. but ridges of spiral less distinct; single apical claw-like spine with subapical spine retrolaterally ( Fig. 50c View FIGURE 50 ).
