Diagnosis. Tibial apophysis present on male palp ( Fig. 88a–c View FIGURE 88 ), if only in the form of strong bristles ( Fig. 90a View FIGURE 90 ); paracymbial spine strong; embolus a tip simple tight corkscrew. Females with large copulatory orifices separated by widely rounded V-shaped ridge, leading to a pair of longitudinal ducts on each side ( Fig. 89a–e View FIGURE 89 ). All species have a black carapace with white submarginal band and black abdomen with 3–5 pairs of white spots dorsally and spots also laterally ( Fig. 88d View FIGURE 88 ). Males with full ventral and dorsal scutes.

Included species. Nyssus paradoxus sp. nov., N. robertsi sp. nov. and N. wendyae sp. nov., N. emu sp. nov.
