Diagnosis. Males strongly resemble those of P. lugubris sp. nov. but differ in the two constrictions on the longer dorsal abdominal scute and longer petiolar collar, and also very weak spines on tibiae and metatarsi I and II; males differ from those of P. marengo sp. nov. in having the prolateral edge of the distal cymbium narrow ( Fig. 104c View FIGURE 104 ) rather than the tumid fold in P. marengo sp. nov. ( Fig. 106a View FIGURE 106 ). Female unknown.
Etymology. From the Queensland Naturalists Club who collected the holotype and through their yearlong survey massively increased the knowledge of the diversity of the Lake Broadwater area as well as many other areas in Queensland.
Description Holotype male QM S39571.
Carapace 2.20 long, 1.16 wide. Abdomen 2.10 long, 1.00 wide. Total length, 4.2.
Colour: carapace dark red brown with two pallid oval areas anterior to fovea. Femur I basally brown, distal quarter pallid with dorsal brown stripe; femora II–IV yellow with dorsal and lateral stripes, dorsal brown stripe down patellae and tibiae I–IV otherwise yellow brown, coxae I brown, II–IV yellow around red brown sternum; abdomen dorsally with long tear-shaped dark brown scute extending for full length; two constrictions, both weak but definite in anterior eighth of scute, terminally black, ventrally with pallid medial triangles on flanks; long red brown ventral scute with medial constriction, distally rounded. Carapace: with light uniform pile of fine white hair; fovea short, at edge of posterior slope; margin finely serrate; surface lightly rugose. Sternum: with marginal dark radial lines. Legs: large white hairs evident on femora; femur IV distally unmodified. Spines: none on patella III or ventral palpal femur; all spines on tibiae and metatarsi, slender weak bristle-like; ti v2.2; me I and II = 0. Abdomen petiolar collar long with notch slightly longer than basal portion; ventrally, narrow scute fused to tracheal scute.
