Material. New South Wales: holotype: ♂, Ramornie State Forest, Mt Tindal Rd , 29°42'S 152°35'E, M. Gray, G. Cassis Male AM KS40172 GoogleMaps . Paratype 1♂, taken with holotype, AM KS40171 .
Diagnosis. Males differ from those of P. contorqua sp. nov. in the embolus tip having two similar basal spirals and lacking the distal flair ( Fig. 118a View FIGURE 118 ). Female unknown.
Etymology. The species epithet is for my daughter, Micaela.
Description Holotype Male AM KS40172
Carapace 2.96 long, 1.69 wide. Abdomen 2.93 long, 1.49 wide. Total length 6.1.
Colour: carapace brown with dark green sheen; abdomen dorsally with golden sheen; abdominal scute dark brown with band of small white feathery hairs anteriorly and golden hairs for distal half with white tuft above anal tubercle. Legs I and II pallid with dark brown femora with white hairs crowning apices; femora to tibiae III and IV dark brown with pair of pallid longitudinal bands with white hair dorsolaterally; metatarsi brown, tarsi pallid. Sternum and coxae dorsally red brown ventrally II–IV yellow brown. Carapace: finely rugose with fine triangular white hair; margin weakly serrate. Sternum: rugose; domed to centre; intercoxal processes strong. Legs: cover of fine triangular white hairs; no feathery hairs evident; femur IV weakly modified distally; coxae and femora pustulose. Spines: basal pairs on tibiae I, strong, distal weak. I: fe p1d3; ti v2.2.2; me v2.2. II: fe d3; ti v2.2; me v2.2. III: fe p2d3; pa d1; ti p2r2v2.2; me p3r3v2.2.2. IV: fe p2d3; ti p2r2v2.2.2; me p3r3v1.1.2. Palp: fe p1d2; pa p1d1; ti p3. Palp: cymbium dorsally asymmetrical with tapered apex; paracymbial spine short beak-like; cymbium slightly twisted apically; bulb with large spheroidal tegulum, deep incursion of subtegulum; embolus begins as low spiralled ridge with wide fold and narrow keel, then folds and recurves into long tapered tip into cymbial groove and toward tip.
Distribution. Known only from Ramornie State Forest, New South Wales.
