Diagnosis. Males differ from those of T. carnarvon sp. nov. in that the paracymbial spine is reniform in ventral view ( Fig. 134c, d View FIGURE 134 ); also T. longbottomi sp. nov. has strong dark spotting on the ventral femora ( Fig. 132f, g View FIGURE 132 ). Females differ from those of T. carnarvon sp. nov. in the absence of both strong fang setae and the smoothly rounded face above them ( Fig. 134e View FIGURE 134 ).
Etymology. The species epithet is in honour of dedicated collector and photographer, Mr Alan Longbottom.
Description holotype male WAM 98/1629
Carapace 3.58 long, 2.50 wide. Abdomen 3.30 long, 1.97 wide. Total, 7.0.
Colour: carapace dark orange brown fading slightly posteriorly, with brown markings: broad irregular lobulate marks submarginally; two long sinuous bands on caput; lateral and posterior of fovea, large irregular patches; chelicerae dark brown with small orange brown ovoid area dorsally; eyes 'masked'; abdomen with dorsal tongue-like scute for half length, medially an irregular ostioform brown band centrally with narrow pallid line centrally, laterally a wide pallid band laterally with broken diagonal bands; ventral quadrangle pallid; legs yellow brown with 20–30 small brown areas ventrally on femora and dorsally around spine bases; diffuse band on distal femora; patellae and tibiae I and II yellowish with brown flecking; III and IV with diffuse basal and subdistal bands; maxillae and sternum orange brown, labium red brown, coxae all yellow brown. Carapace: with light cover of large black feathery hairs on brown thoracic region; shallow pre-fovea saddle; fovea short, deep, on ridge, not plateau; striae indistinct, masked by pattern. Maxillae: basal groove with short transverse distal ridge. Sternum widely cordate, no intercoxal extensions. Spines: I: fe pv1p2d3r1; ti p2v2.2.2.2; me v2.2. II: fe pv1p2d3r1; ti p2v2.2.2.2; me p2v2.2. III: fe p3d3r3; pa d1 distal; ti p2d1r2v2.2.2; me p3r3v2.2.3. IV: fe p2d3r1; ti p2d1r2v2.2.3; me p3r3v2.2.3. Palp: fe p1d2; pa d1 apical; ti p1d1. Abdomen: brown feathery hairs on brown areas; dorsal scute narrow with irregular, for anterior half; tracheal scute narrow, deep oval with narrow curved distal ridge. Palp: tibia with slight proventral depression for length; cymbium retrobasally with rounded marginal keel above which a truncate scooped paracymbial spine on raised mound in`well'; sparse scopula dorsally for distal fifth; bulb short, subtegulum just evident retrolaterally; embolic portion with basal narrow spiralled transverse collar becoming rugose long and lobular with small apex set above it.
Female allotype WAM 98 About WAM /1633 (as ♂ except as follows)
Carapace 4.39 long, 3.21 wide. Abdomen 4.81 long, 3.56 wide. Totally, 9.3.
Colour: carapace submarginal marks almost absent, paramedial bands narrower; very few black spots ventrally on femur IV. Chelicerae: fang shield low, without enlarged setae, and face above it smoothly rounded. Sternum with intercoxal extension at I/II. Abdomen: small, keyhole-shaped dorsal scute; tracheal scute small, subquadrate with wide rounded ridge. Spines: also with long proventral spine on fe I. I: fe pv1p2 d3r1; ti p2v2.2.2.2; me p2v2.2. II: fe pv1p2d3r1; ti p2v2.2.2.2; me p2v2.2. III: fe p3d3r3; pa d1; ti p2d1r2v2.2.1 me p3r3v2.2.2. IV: fe p2d3r1; pa d1w; ti p2d1r2v2.2.2; me p3r3 v2.2.3. Palp: fe p1d2; pa p1d1.1; ti p2 basal, d1; ta p2 basal r1 basal. Epigyne: pair of long ovoid copulatory ridges; internally, large head of spermathecae narrows gradually to FD.
Distribution. Known only from Grasspatch and Laverton, south-west Western Australia.
