Remarks. This species was described based on holotype from “la Grèce ” [ Greece]. Later, Burmeister (1865) described Cosmisoma nodicollis based on a single specimen from Argentina (Parana). Gahan & Gounelle (1910) transferred Callimoxys brullei to Cosmisoma and synonymized Cosmisoma nodicollis with it.

Currently, it is known from Brazil ( Rondônia, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Paraíba, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul), Bolivia ( Santa Cruz and Tarija), Paraguay, Argentina ( Catamarca, Tucumán, Córdoba, Misiones, Santa Fé, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, and Buenos Aires), and Uruguay ( Monné 2024a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023).
