Associated with Cerithium heteroclitum Melleville, 1843 (Melleville 1843: 104 [58, 85], pl. 7, figs 8-11), non Cerithium heteroclites Lamarck, 1822 View in CoL , but not expressly proposed as a replacement name. Hemicerithium intermissum (Deshayes, 1864) ( Le Renard & Pacaud 1995: 107) View in CoL . Although the latter two species names have the same stem, they differ in formation and are not homonyms (ICZN Code Art. 57.6).
