Range:— Venezuela and the Guianas to Brazil and Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, PA).
Ecology:— Fairly common; epiphytic and saxicolous in evergreen forests; to 1550 m.
Notes:— Asplenium pseudoangustum Stolze , from Amazonian Ecuador and Peru, may occur in northern Bolivia. It differs from A. angustum by lacking scales on the midribs ( vs. scattered, minute, clathrate scales), brown, lanceolate to ovate, acute to acuminate rhizome scales ( vs. blackish, linear, attenuate, weakly clathrate scales), obscure veins ( vs. evident to prominent), and blades that commonly dry blackish ( vs. gray- or yellow-green).
