Diagnosis:

Female. Antenna with club 1–3 segmented, distinct funicle segment present or absent. Mid lobe of mesoscutum and scutellum each with one pair of setae; propodeum subtriangular. Forewings with a bare disc and narrowly rounded apex; marginal fringe usually longer than FWW, marginal vein long and straight and longer than premarginal and submarginal vein; postmarginal vein absent.

Male. Genitalia tubular, without digiti and claspers.

Comments. The genus Epoligosita Girault is very close to Oligosita Haliday , but differs by having forewings apically narrow, with disc bare; club 1–3 (C1–C3) segmented and funicle segment either present or absent, if present, single segmented. In Oligosita , forewings apically rounded, but disc at least with few setae; club 3-segmented and a single funicle present.
