TYPE MATERIAL EXAMINED

Madagascar: nord, dist. Diéggo-Suarez , Analamerana, 80 m, 50 km SE Diégo, I/1959, Andria R.: 1 ♂ holotype P. aequalis (MNHN) .

NON TYPE MATERIAL EXAMINED

Madagascar: not readable label: 1 ♂ indicated paratype ( MNHN); Ranomandry, XII/1952 - I/1953, ex. coll. Breuning ( RMCA); Fampanambo, 1962, J. Vadon: 1 ♂ (cStr) .

COMMENTS

This species was originally described as Pinophilus aequalis Lecoq, 1986 , junior homonym of Pinophilus aequalis Sharp, 1876 , now Lathropinus aequalis (Sharp, 1876) . In the collection, one individual was found, which was indicated paratype, but this one is not indicated in the description of P. annabellae or P. aequalis . This species is restricted to Madagascar.
