Distribution. Introduced. Neotropical; Galápagos: Floreana (ICCDRS), Isabela, San Cristóbal (ICCDRS), Santa Cruz.
Material examined. Galápagos: Isabela: Sierra negra, 900 m, 6.iv.1996, pampa, S. Peck ( 2 ♀, CNC) . Santa Cruz: El Cascajo Finca Aguirre , 11.xi.2001, YPT, B.J. Sinclair (5 ♁, CNC) .
Remarks. This species was first recorded from the pampa zone of Sierra Negra ( Isabela) in 1996. By 2001, it was very common in the agricultural zone of Santa Cruz. Adults were reared from tortoise dung (ICCDRS).
