Note: This is an illegitimate renaming in Aspalathus of Anthyllis asphaltoides L. (Nov 1759), itself usually treated as an orthographic variant of the earlier An. aspalathoides L. ( May–Jun 1759). It in turn was a new name for An. lotoides L. (1756) , nom. illeg., non L. (1753).
