Material examined. 1♀, AM279 , South Africa, Gauteng, Krokodilspruit , 25°35’12,5”S 28°25’42,9”E, 21.xii.2018 em. ( A. & I. Sharp) ( HSS) GoogleMaps .

Biology. The larva was observed feeding on Terminalia sericea (Combretaceae) in South Africa. Adult emerged 21xii.2018 ( Staude et al. 2020: 55). Previously recorded from Prosopis sp. ( Fabaceae ) in Israel (Halperin & Sauter 1992: 121).

Spain (with Canary Islands), Portugal, France, Malta, Italy ( Sicilia and Sardinia), North Africa, Turkey, Middle East, India, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Gambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa (Karsholt & Riedl 1996: 120; Ponomarenko 2009: 283; De Prins & De Prins 2020).
