Diagnosis. The male genitalia of C. godagama Schmid 1958 in lateral view are similar to those of C. actinifera (also reported from Sri Lanka) in the presence of a posteroventral process on segment IX and the broad and well developed sclerotized lateral lobes of tergum X in lateral view in both the species. However, in lateral view ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–14 ), segment IX of C. godagama is shorter dorsally but very much longer ventrally and truncate anteroventrally and the posterior margins are sinuate, whereas in C. actinifera the concave anterior and convex posterior margins of segment IX are nearly parallel and the posterolateral margins each have a small triangular projection above midheight. In lateral view ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–14 ), the sclerotized lateral lobes of tergum X in C. godagama are very broad basally, abruptly narrowed at midlength, each tapering toward apex, apically directed dorsad, with dorsal margin bearing two small triangular teeth (sensillae of Ross 1956) at 1/3 distance from base, whereas in C. actinifera these teeth are present preapically. In lateral view ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–14 ), the inferior appendages in C. godagama are long, narrow, slightly sinuate and directed upward; in caudal view ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 11–14 ) each is without any mesal projections except a serrate margin at the base in C. godagama ; however, in lateral view in C. actinifera the inferior appendages are broad basally and directed posterad and in caudal view each has a mesal triangular projection beyond midlength.
Description. Adult male. Color in alcohol brown, head blackish brown, antennae dark brown, legs brownish yellow. Wings fuscous. Body length from tip of head to apices of folded forewings about 9.00 mm. Length of each forewing 8.00 mm; discoidal cell length 2.25X its width; fork III almost equal to its stalk. Length of each hind wing 6.75 mm.
Male genitalia ( Figs 11–14 View FIGURES 11–14 ). In lateral view ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–14 ), segment IX anterodorsally short, anterior subdorsal margin concave, anteroventrally 3X as long as anterodorsally, subventral margin truncate, posteriorly sinuate and convex; posteroventral process well developed, triangular, acute. In lateral view, Preanal appendages small, semicircular, setose in lateral and dorsal views. In lateral view ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–14 ), inferior appendages each with basal 1/4 twice as broad as apical 3/4, directed posterodorsad, sinuate, apically acute; in caudal view ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 11–14 ) each inferior appendage concave mesally, evenly curved posterolaterad and posteromesad, with mesal margin serrate in basal 1/4, apically spinate. Tergum X with well-developed pair of sclerotized lateral lobes as well as membranous mesal lobe, in lateral view ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–14 ) each sclerotized lateral lobe broad to midlength, then abruptly narrowed, apical half tapering, slender, and apically curved dorsad, dorsal margin at 1/3 distance from base with two small triangular “teeth” (sensillae of Ross 1956)); in dorsal view ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 11–14 ) sclerotized lateral lobes digitate, curved outward apically, with small “teeth” near mid length on mesal surface; membranous mesal lobe short, triangular between sclerotized lateral lobes. In lateral view ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 11–14 ), phallus tubular, long, subapically with ridge on each of ventral and dorsal margins, apically truncate and with three small spines.
