C. costatus Species-group
Emended diagnosis (after Hisao 2021). Head large and broad, distinctly wider than pronotum, temples very large, extremely developed; pronotum transverse, subquadrate, lateral margins with several small teeth; surface of head and pronotum densely covered with large and round punctures, each bearing a short seta; elytral carinae distinctly developed and elevated; penis rounded apically, ventral sclerite absent; spermatheca simple, C-shaped, head not strongly expanded.
Included species: C. costatus Zhao & Zhang, 2019 ; C. zhengyucheni sp. nov.
Distribution: East Asian.
