Ocinebrinopsis striata Group
Discussion. In this group, we unite a group of species with robust, ovate shells, conical spire, weak shoulder, rather uniform spiral sculpture of subequal primary cords and weaker, subequal secondary cords. All species bear a row of numerous prominent, partly bifid denticles some distance behind the peristome and all species have an open, relatively wide siphonal canal.
This group comprises Ocinebrinopsis crassilabiata ( Hilber, 1879) , Ocinebrinopsis grundensis (Hoernes & Auinger, 1885) and Ocinebrinopsis striata ( Eichwald, 1830) , suggesting a stratigraphic range in the Paratethys Sea from the Eggenburgian (Early Miocene) to the Sarmatian (Middle Miocene). In addition, we tentatively place Ocinebrinopsis subnuda sp. nov. here, although this species has strongly reduced dentition.
