Tsaraphycis mimeticella ( Staudinger, 1879)

Material examined: Luhansk reg., Starobilsk distr., between Novobila vill. & Trembacheve vill., 11.VI.2021, 1♂ S. Tsykal leg. (ST) .

Distribution in Ukraine: Crimea: Budashkin 1992: 25 ( Adelosemia incredibilis [misident.]), 2004: 344 ( Megasis ), 2006: 275 ( Megasis ). First record from continental Ukraine.

Remarks. In Ukraine, known to this day from Crimea, this species was collected in a single male specimen ( Figs 8a–b View FIGURE 8 ) in the steppes of Luhansk region within the Bilenka River gully, characterized by limestone outcrops. The male antennae are characterized by the absence of a sinus and the presence of a row of setae from the anterior edge, whose height is half the thickness of the flagellum ( Figs 8c–d View FIGURE 8 ).
